“A psychological rap album about functioning while falling apart.”

UNFIT FOR RELEASE is Pool's psychological war album: dark industrial rap built from intrusive thoughts, manic pressure, public masking, rage, fear, dissociation, and survival. Explicit, sarcastic, unstable, and cinematic, this project turns mental collapse into controlled chaos.
The Record
UNFIT FOR RELEASE is Pool's darkest and most psychologically volatile project yet: a collision of industrial rap, NYC drill energy, distorted guitar pressure, manic cadences, and brutally sarcastic self-examination.
Built around the war inside the mind, the album turns anxiety, dissociation, obsession, rage, fear, masking, instability, and survival into a cinematic rap experience. These songs do not romanticize being broken; they expose the ugly mechanics of functioning while falling apart. Pool moves between dry humor, violent honesty, technical lyricism, and emotional collapse, creating a record that feels like a psych ward hallway, a late-night interrogation room, and a panic attack with a drum pattern.
It is explicit, unstable, aggressive, vulnerable, sarcastic, and painfully human.
UNFIT FOR RELEASE is not a confession polished for approval. It is the file they were not supposed to clear.
UNFIT FOR RELEASE explores the parts of the mind most people hide: intrusive thoughts, emotional masking, dissociation, fear, rage, obsession, and the exhaustion of pretending to be fine. Pool delivers the album with sharp East Coast-inspired rap cadence, industrial production pressure, dark humor, and a volatile sense of control barely holding together.
The album blends dark drill, industrial hip-hop, distorted bass, gritty guitar pulses, sharp snare patterns, manic vocal pacing, sudden dropouts, and cinematic tension. The result is aggressive but personal: built for headphones, night drives, gym rage, and anyone who has ever laughed because the alternative was worse.
This is not a clean recovery album. It is not polished motivation. It is the sound of survival before it becomes inspirational. UNFIT FOR RELEASE lives in the moment where the mask still works, but the person behind it is no longer okay.
