CONTROLLED AUTHORITY is Pool's most cinematic and politically aware project: a collision of NYC boom bap, industrial pressure, and subtle alternative rock textures. The album explores institutional power, manipulated perception, escalating force, and the silence that buries the truth.
About the Album
This isn't protest music. It's evidence. Pool moves through a city where authority is no longer accountable, where the line between protection and prosecution has blurred into procedure. Each track is a case file: a documented exposure of how power survives by rearranging the rules.
The production is grounded in 2000s NYC hip-hop: hard snare cracks, deep 808 low-end, gritty industrial textures, and cinematic string tension. Subtle alternative rock guitar pulses run underneath the surface, giving the album a sense of unrest that never lets the listener settle.
The system doesn't break. It re-files you under a new category.
